Memorial Services

There are times when for different reasons a memorial service is held some weeks or months after the death. It may be that the family preferred a small, intimate funeral, or that not all the family and friends could gather in time.for it.
At this time of the Coronavirus when funerals are limited to immediate family a memorial service offers a welcome opportunity for everyone to come together, to remember the person who has died before God, to celebrate their life and to support those for whom the loss is greatest.
Please talk to the Vicar, one of the Ministry team or contact the Parish Office (01625 827625 parishoffice@stpetersprestbury.org.uk).

We look not to the things that are seen
but to the things that are unseen;
for the things that are seen are transient

but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Father in heaven, we praise your name
for all who have finished this life loving and trusting you,
for the example of their lives,
the life and grace you gave them
and the peace in which they rest.
Meet us in our sadness
and fill our hearts with praise and thanksgiving,

for the sake of our risen Lord, Jesus Christ.
