St Peter's Bellringers

Nothing calls us to worship like the joyful sound of bells ringing out across the village. Sundays, weddings, even the occasional funeral – bells are predominantly the voice of celebration, but always remind us of the power of God.

Bellringers 2

We are a very active and friendly group and encourage anyone with an interest to come and find out more. It’s a lovely way to meet new people, learn a new skill, keep fit and get involved in St Peter’s and the local community.
As well as ringing at regular and special St Peter’s events, we organise summer outings to ring at churches around the North West which allow us to experience ringing other peals. And we always find time to stop for lunch at a country pub! We have also had ringing weekends at Cathedrals all over the country; most recently in Lincoln, Worcester and Wells. At the Royal Cheshire Show each June, a group of ringers help with showing people the ropes. This is a great opportunity for people to find out more about ringing and have a go themselves.
We welcome learners young and old. From age 14 anyone can learn to ring and it is possible to choose bellringing as your new skill if you are taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.

We practice each Wednesday from 8pm to 9.30pm. On Sunday Mornings we ring from 10am to 10.30am prior to the service.
