About Tin Tabernacles...

Tin Tabernacles were built in the 19th and early 20th centuries as temporary churches, often made from corrugated iron. They were a practical and affordable solution to meet the growing needs of communities at the time. Today, there are still around 200 of these historic buildings across England, many of which, like St. John’s, continue to serve as thriving places of worship.
